How event drops work
Boxes and medals are bonus loot that lands on top of a monster’s normal drops. You open one by dropping it back on the ground — it bursts and leaves exactly one reward behind, either a pile of Zen or an item. The box is never the prize; what it holds is.
One item, many faces: Box of Luck, the two medals, Firecracker, Heart of Love, Star of the Sacred Birth and all five Boxes of Kundun are the same item at different levels. That is why a better box is simply a higher level of the same thing — and why the artwork changes as the level goes up.
Drop percentages are per kill. Inside a box the outcomes are mutually exclusive — you get one, never two — which is why they add up to 100%. Where a box has a Zen outcome, that payout is the fallback covering whatever the item roll misses; the Boxes of Kundun have none, so they always hand over an item. Named monsters are hundreds of times more generous than the world-wide roll, so hunting the right monster matters far more than grinding.

Other rare materials
These are not boxes — they are the crafting and event materials that drop straight from monsters. Most key off the monster’s level rather than which monster it is, so the band tells you where to hunt.
